Caring for Your Quilt: Maintenance & Longevity

To keep your quilt in great condition, ensure that you always use a quilt cover (or doona cover) to protect your quilt and keep it clean. Quilts themselves don’t need frequent washing, we recommend washing your quilt once a year or as needed. Always follow the care instructions on your quilt’s tag.

For larger quilts and quilts made from natural fibres like down and wool, we recommend referring to the specific care instructions provided by the manufacturer. Quilts like these often require a commercial-sized washing machine or professional dry cleaning

To keep your quilt fresh between washes we recommend regular airing outdoors (out of direct sunlight) and fluffing daily to help maintain loft.
